José Miguel Iribas Sánchez was born in Bergara (Gipuzkoa) and has been a resident of the Valencian Community since 1973.

A sociologist specialized in territorial, urbanistic, and touristic diagnosis, he has in the course of his career been involved in over 150 studies and projects along those lines.

He has also collaborated in close to forty urban development plans on a national level, and drawn up more than sixty strategies and programs for urban and architectural projects. Finally, Iribas is responsible for the strategy of the Valencia Litoral project.
