Juan Ramón Corpas Mauleón

Mr Juan Ramón Corpas Mauleón. Born in Estella, Navarre, he earned a medical degree from the University of Navarre.

He has written columns for the Diario de Navarra, El País and other publications. He co-founded, directed and contributed to the literary magazine Elgacena, as well as directing and contributing to the poetry magazine Río Arga.

He was co-founder of the first committee of the Ateneo Navarro/Nafarroa Ateneoa, as Literature and Linguistics chairperson, and was a member of the Navarrese Cultural Council.

In 1999 he became director of the Príncipe de Viana Institute, belonging to the regional government of Navarre. He currently holds the position of Councillor for Culture and Tourism in the regional government.
