Luis Fernández-Galiano Ruiz

Luis Fernández-Galiano is an architect, a Chair Professor of Projects at the ETSAM ( School of Architecture of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), and editor of the magazines AV Monografías and ArquitecturaViva .

A numerary member of the Royal Academy of Doctors, he has been a Cullinan Professor at Rice University, a Franke Fellow at Yale, a Visiting Scholar at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, and a Visiting Critic at Harvard and Princeton as well as the Berlage Institute.

He presided over the juries at the 9th Venice Architecture Biennale and the 15th Chilean Architecture Biennale. His books include La Quimera Moderna (The Modern Chimera), Fire and Memory, Spain Builds (in collaboration with the MoMA), and Atlas: Global Architecture Circa 2000 (with the BBVA Foundation).
