Grants Architecture: more for less Congress
Arquitectura y Sociedad Foundation Offers 45 Free Places at International Congress on "Architecture: More for Less"
Spain's Arquitectura y Sociedad Foundation will offer 45 grants for attending its upcoming congress on "Architecture: More for Less", to be held in the Baluarte Congress Hall and Auditorium in Vitoria, capital of region of Navarre, on June 9-11.
The grants are for architects who qualified in the past five years, architecture students in their final two years of undergraduate or graduate studies, and master's degree or doctoral candidates in disciplines linked to the subject of the congress, preferably architecture, sociology, economics, journalism, humanities, engineering, or the fine arts.
The Spanish Presidency of the European Union and the Ministry of Education are supplying one-third of the grant funds, to subsidise the participation of 15 people (five each from Belgium, Spain, and Hungary). The grants will also cover the cost of their room and board, and travel expenses.
Another 15 grant packages are being sponsored by the Caja Rural savings bank and the University of Navarre, and are earmarked for students of the universities of Navarre, the Basque Country, and La Rioja. The Fundación Arquitectura y Sociedad, which is organising the congress, will provide the remaining grants.

Reservations to attend the congress are now being accepted. The registration fee is €300 until 9th May, after which it will rise to €400.
