The Campus, now on its second round, is a venue in which agents who are socially and professionally committed to Spanish architecture can spend time together and engage in intellectual exchange.

It also cultivated knowledge of, and documentation, theory, and reflection on, the positions and recent architectural works and proposals of Spanish practices belonging to the so-called ‘forthcoming’ generation, as well as the gazes towards architecture of socially significant individuals who enriched the mutual encounter by sharing their experiences.

For three days at the Equestrian Center in the Ultzama Valley, close to the city of Pamplona, the collective conversation and debate to take place was a transversal exploration and encounter of different positions and experiences. In addition, this is an updating of the principles, processes, and situations that today affect how architecture, nature, and thought (project and instruments) are conceptualized.

The Ultzama Campus is in line with the Fundación Arquitectura y Sociedad goals, addressing its objectives and adopting its approaches in the reconsideration of architecture as something that is part of, and serves, society.  This is particularly evident in present  times of reflection and change that require updated categories of social and humanistic action, balanced assessments of realities, and projections towards a future that take into account memory, economy, and the sensitive requirements of respect for culture and the physical and natural environment.
